Luca Maffei is an Italian independent perfumer and the creative force behind Atelier Fragranze Milano. Growing up in a family deeply connected to the fragrance industry, he developed a fascination for raw materials and the mysterious alchemy of perfume creation at a young age. Through his father, he met renowned perfumers such as Dominique Ropion and Michel Almairac, experiences that further fueled his passion for the craft. After studying in Grasse under the guidance of Françoise Marin and collaborating with master perfumer Maurizio Cerizza, he decided to fully pursue his own creative path.

Since founding Atelier Fragranze Milano, Luca Maffei has grown into one of the most versatile independent perfumers of his generation. He has created fragrances for both niche and luxury brands such as Perris Monte Carlo, Carthusia, and Histoires de Parfums, with his style characterized by elegance, contrast, and an Italian sensibility. Creations such as Rose de Taif, Terra Mia, and Néa brought him international recognition and multiple awards.
