Pompeia was inspired by archaeological discoveries in the ancient Roman city and created by Jacques Rouché and perfumer George Darzens as an ode to its timeless allure. At the foot of Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii flourished as a sophisticated trading city, known for its olive oil and precious flowers such as the rose, myrtle, and iris. This Eau de Parfum captures the atmosphere of elegant Roman women strolling, perfumed, through streets lined with majestic villas.
A sparkling opening of mandarin and peach gives the fragrance a sunny, soft start. In the heart, jasmine and saffron provide a floral warmth with a subtle spiciness. Amber, patchouli, and osmanthus in the base add depth and a velvety sensuality, while a touch of moss lends the whole a classic, earthy elegance.
