Rêve d'Or Eau de Cologne was created in 1889 by Pierre Armingeat and Georges Darzens for the famous Paris World's Fair. This was the year in which the Eiffel Tower was also unveiled and Paris presented itself as the center of modernity, art, and luxury.
The fragrance embodies the elegance of the fin-de-siècle and became one of the iconic compositions of the house. The bottle was designed by Georges Chevalier, artistic director of Baccarat.
The fragrance opens light and sparkling with aldehydic accents. The floral heart is enriched by warm spices, while amber and wood form an elegant and timeless base.
