Redesigned from its 1882 royal composition to compliment modern rigors and landscapes, Fougère Royale by Houbigant retains its distinctive, elegant, noble, refined pulse and its pleasant, pastoral beauty. The perfectly blended perfume is infused with green, fragrant sedge, hardy leaves and delicately curled leaves of shady, dense, humid forests. Sweet vernal grasses suggest the freshly released essences of trampled, crushed, trampled, dewy greenery, with an intense hint of freshly mown hay.

The nuanced fragrance composition of Fougère Royale opens with a lively, sparkling cocktail of bergamot, lavender and Mediterranean herbs. A fragrant heart follows, where the floral-spicy "Rondeletia" accord is revealed by rich geranium nuances and warm spices. A floral intermezzo shows rare rose essences and absolutes, enriched with pepper, cinnamon and carnation. Finally, a grand finale of earthy, ambery and woody harmonies, where moss notes join a sensual patchouli theme enriched with warm coumarin undertones of tonka beans and clary sage absolute.
