The name is a portmanteau of "rug" (horse blanket) and "à barres" (striped), referencing the striped horse blankets of the Hermès heritage. This fragrance captures the atmosphere of open plains, leather saddles, and the warmth of wool, with a character that is both rugged and refined.
The fragrance opens fresh and vibrant with citrus and aromatic pine, immediately evoking a sense of the outdoors. At the heart, spicy notes blend with cedarwood and cypress, creating a woody and slightly smoky mid-tone.
