Rêve d'Or was launched in 1889, at a time when Orientalism profoundly influenced European art and culture. It was also the year of the famous Exposition Universelle in Paris and the year the Eiffel Tower was unveiled for the first time.
At the time, the fragrance embodied a Western dream of a lush and generous East, rich in mystique and grandeur. A century and a half later, this creation still exudes the same opulence and luxury, now reinterpreted as a modern Eau de Parfum.
A sparkling opening of aldehydes, pink pepper, and orange lends the composition radiant energy. In the heart, raspberry, rose, and saffron unfold into a warm and refined accord. Musk, cedarwood, and amber in the base provide depth and elegance.
