The fragrance opens with sparkling freshness: pink pepper and a vibrant turmeric leaf provide a tingling, herbaceous beginning, blended with aromatic accents of buchu. The green sharpness of galbanum and lentisque (mastic) further lifts the composition, while the heart of iris concrete and orris develops. Powdery, velvety, and floral with a distinct vegetal ‘voice’.

In the base, Velvet Iris embraces rich woody notes: sandalwood delivers velvety milk tones, labdanum adds amber-like warmth, and the unique Saffiano™ molecule (IFF) brings the soft texture of suede combined with the characteristic of leather, making the fragrance both powerful and tenderly sensual.
