Born in Florence in 1956, Lorenzo Villoresi is one of Italy’s most respected independent perfumers. From his historic workshop on the Arno River, he built his own perfume world, separate from the major fashion houses, inspired by the ancient Florentine tradition of fragrance creation. His travels through the Middle East had a profound influence on his style and brought him into contact with exotic spices, resins, and oriental perfumery, elements that still play a central role in his work today.
Since founding his house in 1990, Villoresi has created exceptional and distinctive perfumes known for their rich, imaginative compositions. Fragrances such as Teint de Neige, Alamut, and Piper Nigrum demonstrate his love for powdery elegance, opulent oriental accords, and exotic raw materials. Besides being a perfumer, he is also a writer and a champion of perfume culture, notably through his books and his involvement in Fragrance conferences and the Accademia dell’Arte del Profumo in Florence.
