Scherzo Eau de Parfum recreates the heady glamour of the French Riviera in the 1930s. Full of fruit, flowers, and shimmering sunshine.
An intensely vibrant fragrance, full of color, depth, and a hint of sweetness, Scherzo captures a multitude of florals: dark red rose, clouds of peony, sunny yellow daffodil, and crisp white pittosporum. The sweetness of mandarin is offset by the heady purple richness of davana, which adds a touch of boozy liqueur to the scent. The base shimmers with oud, earthy patchouli, and a touch of sugar to capture the feeling of a pastry case.
Scherzo, launched in 2018, is inspired by a passage in F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Tender is the Night." This short passage was the only assignment perfumer Mathieu Nardin received for the fragrance's creation. The resulting perfume has become an instant classic.
