Edmond Roudnitska, born in Nice in 1905, is considered one of the greatest and most influential perfumers in history. After his training in Grasse, he developed an innovative vision of perfumery, approaching scent as a complete art form. His work was characterized by an exceptional sense of harmony, elegance, and technical precision, through which he lastingly shaped modern perfumery.

Throughout his career, Roudnitska created iconic fragrances such as Diorissimo, Eau Sauvage, and Femme by Rochas, compositions that are still considered masterpieces today. Diorissimo, in particular, demonstrated his innovative power, as he succeeded in olfactorily bringing the delicate scent of lily-of-the-valley to life using synthetic molecules. In 1946, he founded Art et Parfum, a laboratory that grew into a creative breeding ground for high-quality perfumery.
