Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud is one of the most influential perfumers of our time. A man who brought the art of fragrance composition to absolute refinement. Born in Grasse to a family of distillers, he literally grew up among the roses, jasmine, and citrus groves of the Côte d'Azur. This early connection with natural ingredients remains at the heart of his work. After training at ISIPCA, he began his career at Charabot and later at Firmenich, where he created some of the world's most recognizable perfumes, including Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey and Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique.
His style is modern yet timeless, transparent, sensual, and always elegant. In 2012, he was appointed house perfumer for Louis Vuitton , where he created a collection that blends travel, memory, and emotion into pure olfactory poetry. Cavallier-Belletrud believes perfume is a living language: a dialogue between nature and humanity, simplicity and refinement.
