Julie Massé is a French perfumer with a contemporary signature, known for her creative freedom and warm, approachable style. Born in Tokyo and later raised in France, she developed a strong sensitivity to scent early on, partly due to her family connection to Grasse, the historical birthplace of perfumery. After studying chemistry and perfumery at ISIPCA, she refined her craftsmanship under the guidance of master perfumer Pierre Bourdon, who trained her according to the traditional Jean Carles method.

After gaining experience at Fragrance Resources and MANE, Julie Massé contributed to fragrances for prestigious houses such as Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent. Her breakthrough came with Shay & Blue, for which she created a series of modern and accessible niche fragrances. Her style is characterized by contrasts, clearly constructed accords, and a strong connection to Mediterranean ingredients such as citrus, orange blossom, and white flowers. With creations like Sì Passione, Sì Fiori, and Salt Caramel, Julie Massé established herself as one of the most promising perfumers of her generation.
