Laura Bosetti Tonatto is a perfumer, artist, and researcher of scent as a form of emotion. Born in Turin, Italy, she began her career as a chemist but soon discovered her true passion lay in the invisible art of perfumery. She studied in Grasse and worked in Paris, where she developed her own approach to olfactory composition: a meeting of science and poetry. In 1986, she founded her atelier, Essenzialmente Laura, in Rome, a laboratory where each perfume is handcrafted, like a personal portrait in scent.
Her creations, both for private clients and for museums and fashion houses, are distinguished by clarity, simplicity, and emotional precision. She has designed fragrances for institutions like the Vatican Museums and created olfactory interpretations of literature and works of art, from Dante to Caravaggio. Laura Bosetti Tonatto sees perfume as a language: a way to let silence speak, awaken memories, and make beauty tangible.
