Laura Bosetti Tonatto is a perfumer, artist, and researcher of scent as a form of emotion. Born in Turin, Italy, she began her career as a chemist but soon discovered that her true passion lay in the invisible art of perfume. She studied in Grasse and worked in Paris, where she developed her own approach to olfactory composition: a meeting of science and poetry. In 1986, she founded her atelier Essenzialmente Laura in Rome, a laboratory where each perfume is crafted by hand, like a personal portrait in scent.
Her creations, both for private clients and for museums and fashion houses, are distinguished by clarity, simplicity, and emotional precision. She designed fragrances for institutions such as the Vatican Museums and created olfactory interpretations of literature and artworks, from Dante to Caravaggio. Laura Bosetti Tonatto sees perfume as a language: a way to make silence speak, evoke memories, and make beauty tangible.
