Olivier Creed is a French master perfumer and the sixth generation behind the legendary House of Creed, a perfume house with a history dating back to 1760. Born in Nice during World War II, he grew up in a family where scent, craftsmanship, and tradition were central. In addition to perfumery, Olivier studied art and painting at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, an artistic background that would profoundly influence his approach to scent creation. At just eighteen years old, he took over the perfume branch of the family business, transforming Creed from an exclusive bespoke perfumery into a globally renowned niche house.
Under his creative direction, iconic fragrances such as Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, and Aventus emerged, compositions that today are among the most recognizable modern niche perfumes. Olivier Creed is known for his refined style, combining traditional techniques with a continuous search for the finest natural raw materials from around the world. For him, perfume is an art form where color, texture, and emotion come together in a harmonious composition. Together with his son Erwin Creed, he continues to work from Fontainebleau on the enduring legacy of the House of Creed.
