Perfumer - Pierre Bourdon

Pierre Bourdon is one of the great innovators of modern perfumery. A man who dared to rethink the classic structure of scent. Born in Paris, he initially studied political science, but his fascination with beauty and balance led him to the world of fragrance. He trained at Roure Bertrand Dupont (now Givaudan) and was the sole student of the legendary Edmond Roudnitska , from whom he learned that perfume is an art form, not a formula.

He created iconic fragrances such as Davidoff's Cool Water, Frédéric Malle's Iris Poudre, and Creed 's Silver Mountain Water . Perfumes that defined an era of freshness and transparency. His style is recognizable by the tension between simplicity and depth: compositions that are simultaneously light and emotionally rich. For Bourdon, fragrance is a mirror of the soul, a silent expression of harmony and freedom. As a teacher, mentor, and visionary, his influence remains palpable in the hands of the new generation of perfumers, including his student Julien Rasquinet .
