Pierre Bourdon, born in Paris in 1946, is one of the most influential perfumers in modern perfumery history. Although he initially studied political science, his life changed forever after meeting master perfumer Edmond Roudnitska, who inspired him to fully dedicate himself to perfumery. He subsequently underwent intensive training in Grasse under the guidance of Roudnitska and Jean Carles, two of the greatest names in classical French perfumery.
Throughout his career, Bourdon created some of the most iconic fragrances of all time, including Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent, Davidoff Cool Water, and Green Irish Tweed by Creed. His style is characterized by a powerful combination of artistic vision, technical innovation, and a strong sense of modernity. As co-founder of Takasago Europe and later creative director at several international fragrance houses, he played a significant role in the evolution of contemporary perfumery. Pierre Bourdon is admired for his ability to create timeless compositions that feel both emotional and innovative.
