Yvon Mouchel founded the Divine perfume house in Dinard, Brittany, in 1986 , driven by a desire to preserve classic French elegance in an increasingly fast-changing world. His background in art and aesthetics formed the foundation for a brand that exudes refinement, discretion, and authenticity. Mouchel considers perfume an extension of one's personality. Not meant to impress, but to accompany.

Under his creative direction, perfumes such as Divine, L'Homme de Divine , and Spirituelle (many in collaboration with Richard Ibáñez ) were released. Divine is one of the few independent houses that remains true to craftsmanship and timeless style. Mouchel is not a perfumer, but a curator and aesthete: the guardian of a universe in which elegance is self-evident.
