Christine Nagel is a renowned Swiss perfumer and has been Director of Olfactive Creation at Hermès since 2014. Born and raised in Geneva, she began her career studying medicine, but her fascination with chemistry ultimately led her to the world of perfumery. After completing her training in organic chemistry, she joined Firmenich , where she was captivated by the emotional power of scent and collaborated with luminaries such as Alberto Morillas .
Denied a move to the perfumery department, she immersed herself in chromatography and developed an exceptional ability to identify raw materials solely with her nose. Nagel then settled in Italy, where she quickly built an impressive client list, including commissions from Fendi and Versace.
Her style is characterised by clarity and freedom, with a strong belief that perfume knows no gender, inspired by innovators such as Germaine Cellier , whose work she deeply admires.
