The Sapin Diptyque's scented candle captures the magic of the festive season in a single, sparkling moment. This limited-edition Christmas card shines like a tiny jewel: the gold-leafed glass reflects the flamelight like rays of sunlight on snow, while the scent evokes the freshness of a pine forest after a cold night.
The composition is elegant and pure. Notes of Siberian pine and resin form the heart of the fragrance, enveloped by woody accents of cedar and a hint of moss. The result is a scent that is both fresh and warm. As if you're standing in the middle of a snowy forest, while a fire crackles in the distance.
The artistic trio behind this creation is reminiscent of the three founders of Diptyque: contemporary poet Victor Pouchet created the winter story, illustrated with surrealism and humor by Parisian illustrator and bookseller Vincent Puente. Inès Mélia, a daring, imaginative artist, works with forms and materials to give poetic art objects a narrative dimension, translating the story into tangible form.
Set in a bookstore in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a few days before Christmas, the story follows the shopkeeper and his mischievous, highly literate cat, Archibald. The duo discovers a special attraction in a small pine cone dipped in the shimmering wax of a scented candle. As the pages turn, the alchemy of the holidays unfolds.
With a burn time of approximately 50 hours (190g), this candle spreads its woody scent throughout the room, as if nature itself had stepped inside. Handmade in France with a carefully balanced blend of natural waxes, Sapin burns cleanly and evenly, as only Diptyque can.
Let the golden flame dance and enjoy the scent of winter. Clear, timeless, and full of anticipation.
