Scherzo Eau de Parfum recreates the heady glamour of the French Riviera of the 1930s. Full of fruits, flowers and glistening sunshine.

An intensely vibrant fragrance, full of colour, depth and a hint of sweetness, Scherzo captures a multitude of flowers: dark red rose, clouds of peony, sunny yellow narcissus and crisp white pittosporum. The sweetness of mandarin is offset by the heady purple richness of davana, which adds a hint of boozy to the scent. The base shimmers with oud, earthy patchouli and a pinch of sugar to capture the feeling of a pastry window.

Launched in 2018, Scherzo was inspired by a passage of text in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Tender is the Night. This short passage was the only task given to perfumer Mathieu Nardin to create the scent. The resulting perfume has become an instant classic.
