Un Jardin en Méditerranée Eau de Toilette is the first fragrance in the Les Jardins collection by Hermès, created in 2003 by master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. This scent is an olfactive reminder of a southern seaside garden. Warm, sheltered, and vibrant with sun and shade. The fragrance evokes fig trees, citrus, white flowers, and aromatic shrubs under a clear blue sky.
The composition opens with a vibrant, citrusy freshness of bergamot and mandarin, refreshed by a hint of zesty orange. The heart quickly unfolds: a green and milky fig note, accompanied by soft blossoms and white oleander, giving the fragrance a sunny and slightly floral touch. At the base, cypress and cedarwood create a woody structure reminiscent of warm Mediterranean earth and the cooling shade of mature trees.
Un Jardin en Méditerranée is a fragrance of sensory balance: fresh yet warm, green yet woody, subtly floral without being sweet. It's a fragrance that captures the vibrant tranquility of the Mediterranean. Intimate, natural, and imbued with light. The bottle, bathed in a soft turquoise glow, reflects the interplay of sea, sky, and leaves. For those who long for a moment of summer, captured in scent.
